EGL Gears Open - London 9-10 June, 2018.

Left home at the crack of dawn for London and the EGL Gears Open.
I arrived to London at 9am and waited a few hours at the Victoria Coach Station for teammates Bossman and Wxtty.
After meeting up, we immediately celebrated with a pint and a shot.
We found the hotel alright, had a quiet first evening with the team.
On the Saturday we went to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's home arena, and the venue Under the Bridge.
It. Was. A. Mazing. Such a good venue. Great for spectating, it was a bar, good side stations, the same professional and helpful staff and of course super great commentators, like always.

My team, Puzzled Gaming, versused fourth (?) ranked BittersweetGG (the ones me and sG Agonize got humiliated by on Main stage in Sheffield). We played our best and took two consecutive rounds, we were very happy. But yeah, 0-2 in maps. Down to loser's bracket.
The teams winning first round was Lucent eSports (who beat Aerox 2-0), Prismatic (2-0 against Cease to Exist), Cyclone (2-0 versus Revolt) Fable Sentinel (the old Supremacy squad. They beat LyZo eSports 2-0), Horizon Union (beating Frenchies 2-0), Regal Reserve (winning 2-0 against Invalid esports) and of course Bittersweet.
We played rather well our second match, against Invalid eSports, We took 4 rounds in 2 matches. Everyone beat their record from last LAN, so everyone was happy about that.
Except Invalid eSports, the other teams progressing to 2nd round in loser's bracket were Revolt, and Frenchies.
Second round winner's bracket was dominated by Fable (2-0 against Lucent), Cyclone (2-1 against Prismatic), Fable Sentinel (2-0 against Horizon) and Regal Reserve (2-1 against Bittersweet).
Bittersweet beat Aerox in loser's round 2 (2-0), Revolt beat Horizon 2-0, Prismatic won 2-1 against Frenchies and Lucent won 2-0 against Invalid.
In winner's Fable Sentinel (France) beat Regal Reserve (Spain) 2-0 on main stage. Very exciting. Reigning champs Fable beat Cyclone 2-0.
Revolt finally took out Bittersweet 2-0 and Lucent won 2-1 against Prismatic.
I got my team some t-shirts for the event. From left: sG Agonize, me, PzL x Bossman, PzL Nozza and PzL Wxtty.
We had time for other things than Gears, such as food and drinks! Omnomnom.
In loser's round 4 Cyclone beat Revolt 2-0, and the Spanish derby was taken by Lucent eSports, against Regal Reserve, 2-0.

We played some LAN srcims on the Sunday, against LyZo and Aerox. That was fun!

Bossman already started coaching Aerox in London (and has kept that up since, top 2 in Liverpool, woooo!!)
First seeded Fable versused second seeded ex-Supremacy (Fable Sentinel) on main stage in the semi finals. 2-0 to Fable.
Lucent beat Cyclone 2-0 on main stage. The winners went to loser's bracket finals, where Lucent ran in to Fable Sentinel.

What a game! The Lucent owners could be heard cheering across the entire venue, I tried my best to cheer for the French squad. Alas, even with my cheers, they lost to the Spanish boys Lucent 2-1.
 Aerox Esports (at the time).
The final was not as exciting, 2-0 to like 5-EGL-wins-in-a-row-FableGG. A little interview afterwards, photoshoot with the check for £10 000 etc.
It was a great event! I was as shy as always, but at least I hung out with my team and Bossman of course.
 Love my team <3
We had a nice last night, then went back home on Monday afternoon (for Bossman) and evening (for me, with a lot of delays etc, so took ages).
Had a great time, can't wait for next LAN in Liverpool August 18-19 (and I'm going back to spectating, not playing xD). Hope I'll see you there!
